The Directors

The two Directors had the passion to establish this foundation to support sufferers and families/carers of this disease through Education, skill training, research, diagnostic and financial assistance. Having experienced two of our children gone through the highs and lows of the sickle cell disease and with good management while receiving emotional support from parents and family, they have been able to go through their respective education and professions successfully.  As a source of motivation the Directors wish to encourage other sufferers that there is always hope and they can aspire to be who they want to be.

The Directors have a passion for children and families and are keen to advocate for the importance of the community support and understanding of the long-term impact of the sickle cell disease on the sufferers and their families. A child is raised not just by the parents but also by the community to create a healthy and progressive society for generations to come.
